Tunji Balogun, commonly known as Teebillz, a Nigerian music executive, has gone to Naira Marley’s rescue following his latest scandal.
Remember that the Marlian Music CEO was just widely chastised on social media for allegedly being involved in the harassment and assault of his deceased former record label signee, Mohbad.
Following Mohbad’s unfortunate death, videos of him being bullied by individuals allegedly associated to Naira Marley appeared online, sparking this debate.
This incident infuriated Nigerians, prompting many followers to unfollow the artist on his different social media channels.
While the outpouring of rage has calmed, Teebillz recently took to Instagram to argue for Naira Marley, claiming that he is too young and brilliant to be cancelled.
He went on to say that Naira Marley gave Mohbad, also known as Imole, a chance when no one knew who he was, but now people are turning against him.
Teebillz, who was formerly married to singer Tiwa Savage, wrote in a now-deleted post
“#Too young too talented to throw under the bus of cancel culture! One of the best writers of the new age! Guilty by association is not a deliberate crime to me.
I pray ppl forgives Naira Marley off his shortcomings and I hope God gives him a 2nd chance to attain his blessings as a bonified leader and influencer! Just yesterday when everyone and their mama was a glorified Marlian……. Naira belived and invested in Imole’s talent when none of the after death advocates of love did….!!! May our creator bless us where we lack knowledge and wisdom!”
