Omoniyi Boluwatife, a young nurse, was discovered dead with her womb ripped out in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The tragedy occurred just two days after she was formally inducted into Nigeria’s Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Boluwatife, a Lead City University alumni, reportedly went to a nightclub to celebrate her recent admission, but when she was discovered dead the following morning, her initially pleasant occasion quickly turned into something awful.
Boluwatife kissed her mother goodbye, who had traveled from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to join her in her celebration before the disastrous night out. They had no idea it would be their last goodbye.
The club issued a statement admitting the terrible incident, but they claim they cannot be held liable because the tragedy did not occur on their property, nor was the individual removed from the club.
The Ibadan club also urged security agencies to investigate the event and prosecute the perpetrators.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding Boluwatife’s death and the gruesome removal of her womb.
