Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, also known as Phyna, the BBNaija level-up champion, has finally addressed her disagreement with her co-star, Chichi, at their reunion episode.
Phyna said during the reunion, in a fit of rage, that Chichi is a married mother of two who abandoned her children in Benin.
Phyna continued on social media after the show aired, claiming that Chichi paid N3.5 million for liposuction and allegedly poisoned a friend in Cyprus out of envy before returning to Nigeria. This did not sit well with Chichi, so she filed a lawsuit against Phyna, demanding N100 million in damages and a public apology. ICYMI, you can read about it here.
Phyna stated in a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo that her reaction to Chichi was not spontaneous.
She claimed that she replied to Chichi’s nasty statements about her, which were not broadcast by BBNaija organizers.
Chichi, she alleged, body-shamed her, labeled her a “abortionist,” and made other disparaging remarks about her. She refused to let Chichi bodyshame her because she has a natural body.

Concerning the N100 million lawsuit, Phyna added that she was unafraid of the threat and was prepared to go to court.
In her own words,
“The way I attacked her they should have known she said something, that part was mute. Because the previous day, you body shamed me, you called me shapeless and saggy boobs, that’s why I had to use the word for her that she would record in her heart and brain. Because you can’t be body-shaming me that have a natural body, I had to remind her that there are stuff.
You called me an abortionist, I reminded you that you have two kids that you abandoned.
Two days later, she is suing me in court for N100 million for libel and defamation of character. I called my lawyer that if we didn’t reply to the lawsuit, what would happen? My lawyer said if we didn’t reply within 7 days, she could charge me in court. The next day I bought a suit to prepare for court.”
