Happie Boys, former security guards turned content makers, have rushed to social media to beg forgiveness from their benefactor, OPM founder Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere.
In a video posted online by the young guys who rose to prominence after being sacked from their jobs for dancing on the job, they begged the cleric to have compassion on them because things were not going well for them in Cyprus.
This comes just a few weeks after they turned down his offer to sponsor their return flight to Nigeria to finish their education at any university of their choice in Nigeria or Benin Republic after chastising him for canceling their scholarship at a Cyprus university.
Happie Boys also stayed steadfast in their resolve to stay in Cyprus and fend for themselves. They even worked as club dancers for a stipend.
Following the incident, they began making snarky remarks about the clergyman and casting aspersions on him on social media because he terminated their scholarship for financial reasons.
Surprisingly, the young men took to social media today to apologize to the pastor and Nigerians in general for their behavior. They also stated their willingness to travel to Nigeria to apologize to the pastor.
They also promised not to speak negatively about the pastor again and asked for his blessings so that things would start working for them again.
