Bongi is heartbroken and has unanswered questions, but all of that agony and uncertainty will last until justice is done.
Her Jabulile is said to have been stabbed with a sharp weapon during a struggle. However, Bongi told the Daily Sun that no progress in the inquiry or arrest has been made since his daughter was murdered in cold blood. She stated that she wants justice for her daughter and that she will be pleased if the offender is captured.
“From what I heard, my daughter was with a friend who went to get money from a boyfriend in Flerhof. When they arrived, I don’t know what happened, but my daughter and her friend were stabbed,” Bongi said.
She went on to say that both companions were taken to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, where Jabulile died from her injuries.
According to Bongi’s testimony, it has been more than a month since her daughter died, but no one has been arrested.
Bongi was informed that the defendant would appear in court on Tuesday, August 1st. The defendant’s name was not on the court date list on that day, which surprised her. Later, she learned that the suspect had returned to the streets.
The suspect must at the very least tell the truth about what transpired on the day Jabulile was stabbed. It will not bring her back to life, but it will provide closure for the poor woman, Bongi.
The suspect must also pay for the offenses he has done. And the police should never, ever lie to Bongi.
