Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, “if Peter Gregory Obi of the Labour Party has won the presidential election, he would have used power of the government against me. I knew his past (beginning) very well but you may not.”
Speaking further, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, “as for the gubernatorial ambition of Tonye Cole, I have never, at any time, come out to say I am not supporting him. I know there are people among them who hate me because I am a Muslim. He is a Kalabari man and I can’t pretend about that. I acknowledged Governor Nyesom Wike because he stood with me for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the presidential election.
Again, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, “everybody knows that I have a misunderstanding with Governor Nyesom Wike but they don’t know it’s not a personal fight. During COVID-19, Governor Nyesom Wike brought people to secure lives and I supported him because I had contacted COVID-19 twice and 11 members of my household also contacted it.”
Lastly, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, ‘I know that if Governor Nyesom Wike had the power to take life, he would have killed me. The singular act I did then was what brought wealth to me. I went to defend our people and they all acknowledged the fact that I am a strong man. After it, did Governor Nyesom Wike give me any deal?”
