In a recent post, Africa’s largest musician David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, criticizes business billionaire Elon Musk for failing to make his Twitter payout for the month of July.
Twitter Payouts/Twitter Blue has been one of the trendiest topics on popular microblogging platform Twitter since the founder, Elon Musk, began compensating content authors.
Most Twitter creators were observed expressing their elation by thanking multibillionaire Elon Musk for paying them to use his program.
To be paid as a Twitter creator, you must have been a member of Twitter Blue for at least three months. You must have gotten 5 million tweet impressions for at least three months, which eliminates a large number of recent Twitter Blue users who may only have a few hundred or thousand followers and will not meet that requirement.
It must also have 25 tweets in the last 30 days and at least 500 followers. Twitter will allow content creators to keep up to 92% of their earnings until they earn $50,000.
Reacting to how creators have begun collecting their Twitter rewards for the month of July, Davido, Africa’s most followed musician who is well-known for being a Twitter-savvy, took to his verified Twitter profile to scream out after not receiving any money from Elon Musk.
In a tweet today, August 8th 2023, “Davido tweeted; Where dem Dey put the money? @elonmusk.”
