A Nigerian lady has reportedly been admitted to the hospital after she was allegedly subjected to domestic abuse by her abusive husband in Lagos, Nigeria.
According to reports, the husband, Emmanuel Okolie, a horticulturist threw his wife down from a one-storey building during an altercation, He has been arrested by the police for his actions.
An eyewitness stated that the suspect was furious with his wife after he came back home from work to realize he has been locked out of his own home on Wednesday, 13th April in Alimi Oke Street, Oshodi, Lagos. The suspect was said to have been beating his wife, Mofe anytime there is an argument.
The eyewitness said, “They’ve been married for thirteen years and have three kids together. Emmanuel and his compound-given alias, localFloyd Mayweather, regularly be@ts his wife anytime they have an argument. In fact, we the neighbors are tired and imagine what the kids witness on a daily basis from their one-room apartment.
So, on Wednesday, Mofe’s ‘offense’ was that she kept him waiting outside for long before opening the door to let him in. An argument ensued and he started pouncing on her in his usual manner. He went further to push her down from their apartment and she landed on the ground. The victim stood up and proceeded to destroy his windscreen.
Emmanuel was then advised to let the matter slide else he will be arrested by the police for domestic abuse but he decided to demand a quick notice from his landlord in order to escape.
Mofe was then invited to the police for her statement but she collapsed while at the station and she was rushed to the hospital. Doctors said that she might be suffering from internal bleeding but they await her full-body x-ray.
