Iforiti Oloro, 75, died after setting fire to her son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren in Ondo State.
Mrs. Oloro, who suffered minor burns in the incident, died over the weekend at an unnamed hospital, according to reports.
In a phone conversation with the Peoples Gazette, a source who requested anonymity said,
“The old woman (Iforiti) is dead after sustaining some burns in the fire incident. She was taken to the hospital but we got the information that she’s dead.”
Remember that on Saturday, March 18, the septuagenarian who resided with her son at Aponmu Village on Ondo-Akure Road set fire to the house while the family was sleeping.
Several neighbors broke in through the window and saved her son, Victor Oloro, as well as her wife, Rachael, and their children, Toluwani and Blessed.
They were taken to the Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Owo for treatment. Victor and his wife died while their children were reportedly receiving treatment.
Iforiti Oloro, the grandmother, admitted to journalists after the incident that she burned her son and his family because they were starving her.
