Despite his love and support for Nigeria’s president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has a soft spot for his opponent, Peter Obi.
Remember that throughout the election, Yul Edochie, like the majority, was an enthusiastic supporter of Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi; however, upon his election, the actor has shifted sides to President Tinubu.
Despite his newfound affection for Tinubu, the father of five declared that he still respects Peter Obi and will never criticize him.
He feels Peter is a great Nigerian, and that if God lets it, his time will come. It is, however, Jagaban’s time, and the following eight years are dedicated to him.
Yul feels certain that President Tinubu would repair Nigeria for the benefit of its inhabitants.
“I have a lot of respect for Peter Obi.
I will never insult him.
He’s a great Nigerian.
His time will come if God Almighty wills it. This time is for Jagaban.
The next 8 years are for President Tinubu. And within that time He will fix Nigeria for the good of all Nigerians”.
The divorcee made news a few weeks ago when he changed his name and openly announced his love for President Tinubu.
He tweeted a snapshot of him wearing a Tinubu-inspired clothing to show how much he adores him. The actor donned a local top with the President’s face on it.
Yul renamed himself Asiwaju Baby and unabashedly professed his everlasting love for him, claiming that he believes in him and is hoping for his success.
