The president of war-torn Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, congratulated Bola Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate, on his victory in the recent election.
On Twitter, Zelenskyy claimed that he is ready to collaborate with Tinubu to address global concerns, especially risks to food security.
Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, the national chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has been under fire for rigging and other anomalies in the presidential elections. At least two other candidates, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, have already launched legal challenges to the results.
Meanwhile, the Ukraine president on his Twitter said, “Congratulations to @officialABAT on winning the Nigerian presidential election. I look forward to close cooperation. I’m convinced that bilateral interaction will be strengthened. is ready to work together to overcome global challenges, including threats to food security!”
According to a poll, all four major political parties involved in last Saturday’s presidential election engaged in rampant vote-rigging, vote-buying, and other electoral malpractices, according to SaharaReporters on Friday.
The parties indicted include the All Progressive Congress (APC), the People Democratic Party, the Labour Party, and the New Nigeria Peoples Party.
