Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court in Lagos State has granted N10 million bail to businessman and socialite Pascal Okechukwu, commonly known as Cubana Chief Priest, with two sureties.During his trial, the celebrity bartender pleaded not guilty to altering and abusing the currency.
The Cubana Chief Priest was prosecuted before Justice Kehinde Ogundare with three counts of naira misuse for allegedly spraying and tampering with the naira during a social occasion, in violation of the Central Bank Act of 2007.He was accused of spraying naira on February 13, 2024, at the Eko Hotel.
The Cubana Chief Priest is also said to have committed the charges while dancing at a social gathering.He was accused of tampering with CBN-issued N500 notes by spraying them for two hours.
