President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged for unity to stabilize the country and reminded the people that he is their leader regardless of the party they supported in the 2023 presidential election, according to a statement released on Saturday by Dele Alake, Tinubu’s special adviser on special duties. Tinubu made the remark while speaking with the Nigerian diaspora community in France, where he is currently attending a two-day business meeting.
He pledged to advance the prosperity of Nigerians and strive for their best interests.
In his words;
“We must promote unity and stability for all. Whether you voted for me during the elections, or not, I am your President. I will work on your behalf to ensure a turning point of prosperity.”
On his decision to immediately remove fuel subsidy, the president said; “We have transport challenges, electricity challenges, infrastructural challenges and others. I let out the giant elephant of fuel subsidy without bringing down the house.”
