Wassa Joel, an 18-year-old girl, was allegedly raped and murdered in Taraba State by unknown perpetrators.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning, July 30, 2023, in the Lankaviri hamlet in the Yorro Local Government Area of the state.

Meanwhile, community members have taken to Facebook to demand justice.
According to one Moses Keke Kemuel, the community’s Chief, HRH Gana Mago, has asked for calm in the aftermath of the heinous murder.
