On Wednesday, October 4, a Magistrate Court in Yaba, Lagos State, issued an order remanding musician Azeez Fashola, widely known as Naira Marley, and Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu, better known as Sam Larry, in police prison.
The Lagos State Police Command had requested that Naira Marley and the other suspects be jailed for 30 days while their investigation into the unexplained death of musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, commonly known as Mohbad, was completed.
However, in her judgement, Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun ordered that Naira Marley and the others be remanded for only 21 days.
Command had declared the late singer’s childhood friend, Owodunni Ibrahim, alias Primeboy, wanted, and a N1 million bounty was placed on him.
This action was taken after he refused to respond to a police offer to assist with their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the singer’s death.
According to the police, the suspect is roughly 1.64 meters tall, male, dark-complexioned with tribal marks, and of Yoruba ancestry. His last known address was Oke Eletu, 3rd Power, Ikorodu.
